What is PGDTRM?
The Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Risk Management (PGDTRM) is a 1-year full-time program in IT Risk Management and Cyber Security, offered by NU University in partnership with Global Risk Management Institute (GRMI). The course includes 6 months of on-campus learning and a 6-month paid internship, giving students both strong academic foundations and real-world exposure. Designed for graduates and professionals, this specialized diploma builds expertise in cyber security, IT governance, data protection, and enterprise risk management, preparing learners for high-demand careers in technology and risk management.

Admission Process
Fill in the enquiry form for Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Risk Management (PGDTRM).
After filling out the enquiry form, our counsellors will get in touch with you to help you understand the curriculum and placement opportunities.
Fill in your application form after our counsellors get in touch with you. You will need to pay a non-refundable fee of INR 2000, which will be adjusted against the total fee later.
All applicants will have to appear for an aptitude test. The duration of the test will be 60 minutes. The questions will be based on business communication, logical reasoning, basic questions of risk, and the tech domain. If you qualify, you will be eligible for a personal interview (PI).
The personal interview will be with a panel of academic, industry corporate experts from NU and GRMI. The panel, with their expertise in Technology Risk, will test your understanding of the domain. You will receive the result of this round one week after the interview.
The PGDTRM Programme will start from October 14th at the NU Campus, which is 105 km from the International Airport, New Delhi. It is mandatory to be part of the residential programme for the first 6 months before students go for the 6-month paid internship period.
- The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized university in India or abroad (as recognized by the UGC or the Association of Indian Universities).
- The degree must involve at least three years of education after completing higher secondary schooling under the 10+2 system or an equivalent qualification.
- It is strongly recommended that candidates complete all academic requirements before the programme begins, to ensure they can manage the rigorous curriculum and internal assessments effectively.

The programme is co-created by GRMI and NU University (NU). NU University is a university notified under section 2(f) of UGC Act and created by Government of Rajasthan through its Legislative Act.

Yes, hostel is mandatory for all students. NU, by design, is a fully residential university. The intent is to create a vibrant 24×7 learning ecosystem. All students, along with most of our faculty, deans and area heads, reside on campus.
This culture leads to a lively and active environment where students can interact with their faculty outside of classrooms. Faculty members are available to clear your doubts, and for extra coaching and mentoring, both professional and personal. Students get a chance to work on research projects with faculty members and go on to publish research papers.
Club activities are undertaken after classes in the evening. Sports which has been made compulsory to ensure NUtons remain fit and active, is conducted early morning with matches in the evening. All this is not possible if part of the student community leaves the campus soon after classes.
